Extreme Makeover: The Greatest Gift

Extreme! Now! I want to be Different!

These are things I hear and see on tv with all the makeover shows. Very few people will take the time to work to achieve a goal. We want it now and make it easy.

As I was reading the lesson in the book this week, the idea of the Greatest Gift fit in with this. It got me thinking about the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition I watched on Sunday night. How this very deserving family, that was extremely down on their luck, had a group of saviors come in and fix their house. By fixing this one thing it allowed them to change their entire life around.

The Gift was given, but the work still remains. They have to develop new habits in order to keep their house clean and looking new. This to me compares to the Gift God gave me of salvation and a changed life. However, the work remains. I have to develop new habits to help myself grow. No one can take away my gift, but I can sure make it look like I never received it.

This gift is Extreme, and is easily accepted, so what can we do to keep it looking good?

Wow Double o Three, I like it. I think we need to let Jesus into our lives and let the change happen. Eventually people will say what happeed, and thats when we say Double o three, and point them to God. Matthew 5:16 "In the same way, let your light shine before Men that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
